Education & training
As a critical
foundation for other alertness management efforts, education activities
can include presentations, videos, train-the-trainer courses, brochures,
intranet/internet content, or other material. Information can be tailored
to the individual needs of a company, department, or other group, in
order to address specific issues and goals.

As an innovator in the airline industry, British
Airways recognized the need to add value to their passengers
travel experience. In 1999, the airline collaborated with Alertness
Solutions to create a tailored series of articles for British Airways
award-winning in-flight magazine, "High Life," to help their
passengers cope with jet lag. Excerpts
from this series, which includes practical strategies for maximizing
alertness and performance while traveling, is republished on the airlines
website.

Initiated by Dr. Rosekind, Kevin Gregory, and other NASA colleagues,
the Fatigue
Countermeasures Group at NASA Ames Research Center conducted popular
"train-the-trainer" workshops for the aviation industry from
1993 to 2005.
